La Chocolaterie Forrat opened its doors in
September of 2003. The company was founded
in the Covent Garden Market by Marc Forrat,
a man of French heritage and background who
is very passionate about chocolate and people.
Since its conception, La Chocolaterie Forrat has
been specializing in quality European handcrafted
truffles made fresh in our store and sold fresh
in our store. Marc Forrat appeared on the CBC reality show “The Dragon’s Den” in October of 2006, where he struck a deal with one of the Dragons. Due to creative differences, the deal never came into fruition, however, La Chocolaterie Forrat has been expanding its horizons ever since. Two ladies from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, have since entered into the company. They trained under Marc Forrat and his apprentice, Ryan Harris, here in London, Ontario an opened a chocolate store in Yellowknife in November 2007, where they have been successful since they’re opening. Our newest project was finished in November 2008, a new store in the Remark Fresh Market located at the intersection of Oxford St. and Hyde Park Road, where we will be selling a diverse line of quality handmade products. As Marc has been heard to say“Keep your eye on us.”
